So earlier in the year (OMG, like 6 months ago now eekkk, how quickly did that go). Lisa from Von Ruby Headquarters and I ran a promotion through Narelle Niksic Photography and Lisa Stehn Hairstylist Facebook pages. We wanted to give a local mum an opportunity to have their hair and make up done by Lisa followed by a family photo shoot with me.
We were so excited and overwhelmed at the responses received, it was just beautiful to see each entrant come in and share their story on why they would love the shoot and to be styled by the lovely Lisa.
Sooo, a few weeks ago, one lucky Mumma had her session with her beautiful family.
The afternoon started with the three of us with in the beautiful Von Ruby Headquarters. I mean, seriously, if you haven't been in to see Lisa, you must. The salon is beautiful, has a welcoming feel, she uses Ammonia Free and PDD hair products and mineral cosmetics that are amazing! And I challenge you to find a hair stylist as passionate about what she does than Lisa. Plus Von Ruby is located right next to on of the most awesome coffee places that Ocean Grove has to offer Kyosk.
It was so nice to have some girly time in the salon just chatting amongst ourselves and before too long it was time to go.
We headed out to one of my favourite locations in Barwon Heads to meet the family and while we waited I snapped a few shots of our beautiful Mum on her own. She looked amazing and I wanted to capture a few pics to show her just how beautiful she is.
After chatting with our lovely comp winner we discovered she likes the natural look and Lisa achieved just that with the natural mineral cosmetics she used.
Before long her boys arrived and were wowed at just how amazing she looked.
And seriously, Dad could not take his eyes off her, it was just the sweetest thing.
I am so honoured and blessed to do what I do and to give someone the opportunity to feel spoiled for a few hours and to have a beautiful family portrait taken.
We are so busy in our lives that sometimes we don't stop to capture those moments and to spoil ourselves in the process. Life is too short to not take a moment and allow ourselves to just be.
